The bathroom
is the only room of house which is severely
functional and cannot be adapted for any
other use. Due to the large amount of
waste which passes through it every day,
a bathroom is built to resist the effects
of water, and grime.
However, in spite of this, bathrooms
get dirty, and due to the continuous use
of the faucets, the sink, and the lavatory,
each of these develop their own special
brand of disintegration, and requires
special treatment.
Also, it is the easiest place in the
house to catch infectious diseases, due
to the common usage of articles like the
comb, and the toothpaste by everyone in
the house. To keep out the cold, many
bathrooms do not have proper ventilation
unlike other rooms, and this, coupled
with the generally wet atmosphere, can
cause the growth of fungus.
Most bathrooms are en suite. This means
that they are attached to bedrooms. The
door into the bathroom is usually left
open, and this gives germs easy access
into your bed, and sheet.
Due to the resilient nature of bathroom
germs, you cannot use ordinary products
that you use to clean your home, on them.
There are special anti-microbial products
that are designed to take on these tough
germs, and give you better protection.
